Wanganui Well Drillers Limited, was established in 1972 by Lyle Sharratt, after having previous experience in the drilling industry.
Wanganui Well Drillers Limited has since been in continuous operation, under the same ownership and management of Lyle, growing from strength to strength.
As Company Managing Director he is responsible for monitoring overall quality his team produces. He also has a hands on approach with his experience as a driller.
From small beginnings in 1972 with one Rotary/Percussion drilling rig, and a two tonne ute, and Lyle and John Sharratt as the team, the Company has shown steady growth to its current position now employing ten experienced staff and running three rig operations.
Recent trends have shown much deeper and larger bores being drilled with irrigation use being one of the main factors.
Wanganui Well Drillers Limited now, after more than 39 years, has vast experience and knowledge in the water well industry.
Our Company is responsible for having drilled the largest and deepest water bore in the Country, that being for the Wanganui District Council successfully completed in 2003.
The Company covers the lower and central North Island area, and has successfully drilled many bores from New Plymouth down to Wellington. We are, prepared to locate to where the drilling is required.
Being a family orientated company, we have a very long standing team of people who pride themselves on their well maintained and presented equipment, and their ability to satisfy not only their clients, but their own standard of expertise.
